lisa and apple III arrived
After the apple I, apple launched the apple II in 1977. The apple II was so successful that apple almost lost the connection to new technologies, so the IBM PC became more successful. At the same time, apple had developed the lisa- and the macintosh-project with graphical interfaces. Lisa came onto the market in 1983, the macintosh 128K in 1984.
While the lisa was the more expandable concept, it was too expensive and too slow. The macintosh 128K and the 512K and finally the macintosh plus, on the other hand, were offered at a much lower price, so that the macintosh still bears the name for apple computer to this day, even if only as „mac".
