From 1995-1996 I worked as an apple service technician and carried out service work on apple computers, especially the laptop series named powerbook. During this time the collection started.

This website exists since 2004. For a long time it was accessible at powerbuch.ch. Since july 2024 the website has been accessible at apple-collection.ch, or powerbook-collection.com, powerbook-history.com and apple-history.ch. The site is created with sitely and hosted by green.

The desktop images of system 1 to 5 come from the apple museum and some of the technical specifications come from mactracker and wikipedia. The think different pictures come from macdesktops. The magazine stories have the kindly permission of IDE tech media gmbh. All other images, pictures, text and illustrations on this website are made by myself. Please ask for higher resolution images to use them and link my website.

In the almost 30 years of collection I have had the opportunity to meet many exciting people with whom I have been able to experience many adventures related to apple computers. Thank you very much for these exciting moments.

My collection currently has over 1’100 working apple macintosh computers. There are still around 100 macs waiting to be restored and together with other apple devices such as ipod, ipad, newton, apple drives, etc. The condition of all working parts is very good to perfect. If you or someone you know is interested in my collection, please get in touch. I am thinking about passing on the collection.
