powerbook 165/165c with color displays
For mac users color displays were fairly long denied. While color displays in PC laptops had long been a standard, apple introduced its first powerbook 165c with a 9“ passive-matrix color display in febrary 1993. The display was not nearly as sharp as the small 8.4“ active-matrix color display in the powerbook 180c. The cheaper powerbook 165 had a grayscale screen and no FPU. With 33 MHz clock rate apple also put the fastest processor installed in a powerbook.
